Barny is a black tri border collie. He was born August 10, 2002. His father Irish Import Sam is a merle. His mother is Irish Import Floss a black tri. Red Dawns Bree is his full sister. Barny's pedigree is full of top winning trial dogs in Ireland. Barny should be factored to produce chocolate, red, blue and sable.
Barny started his training with Jimmy Walker to become a herding trial dog. So far.... he's showing the same wonderful talent as Bree, but he's got more grit (sorry Bree). We're very excited to have this sibling rivalry! Barny's training was finished by Alice Hengst and she trialed him in California. Barny has his AKC Advanced A course sheep title and the 15 points for his Herding Championship was acquired in 3 months. He has 4 High-In-Trials and has placed first, second or third each time he's run.
Barny is 17" tall and 27#. He has a long coat. His hips & elbows are OFA "Good", his hips are also PennHip Certified, his eyes are CERF "normal", and BAER hearing tested "Normal".
Barny is a spunky, cute, little & happy guy! Oh yes, talented too. He's a ball retrieving nut. Barny is focused on all his work- sheep or a toy, he's perfection in a little bundle.
