Elijah is a chocolate red male born November 29, 2005. He is
18" tall and 35#. I went to Belgium to get him from his wonderful breeders, Paul and Nid
Schevenels,
Eyes of the World Border Collie kennel. Their kennel is founded on the
notable UK kennel,
Beagold. Elijah is the grandson of the 2001 World Champion CH Beagold
Stanalone and the great-grandson of the top winning border collie, CH Clan-Abby
Silver Kiwi at Beagold, 3 times Best of Breed at Crufts.
Elijah's mother is (Luxemburg CH and German VDH CH)
CH Eyes of the World Alimcbeal
and father is (Italian CH)
CH Cindora Don Jose at Beagold. Both his parents and
grandparents have their "A" stamp for hips- equivalent to OFA Good & OFA
Excellent. In addition, Elijah is free of CEA & CL by DNA testing of parentage.
Elijah's hips are PennHip certified Normal and his eyes have been CERF Normal.
Elijah received his AKC Championship January 2007, owner handled for 13 of
the 15 points. Unfortunately, I was too far along in my pregnancy to run around
the ring for his last show. He was shown by my handler and his team, Brian
Livingston.
Elijah trains and trials in agility with his handler Matt Jacobsen. Matt
taught Elijah the weave poles start to finish (trial ready) in just 2 weeks.
Elijah is by far our smartest dog yet. Absolutely brilliant. He trials in both USDAA & AKC agility.
For 2008 & 2009 Elijah is living with his herding handler. He got his Started Herding
Sheep A course title his first weekend out with a High-in-Trial to boot! He also
got his first leg on the B course as well. His second weekend out he trialed in USBCHA Novice and qualified with multiple placements. He LOVES to herd.
He has his herding excellent title on sheep & ducks. Elijah is working towards
his Herding Championship.
His eyes are CERF Normal 2006 & 2007 & 2008, he is DNA Normal for CEA and CL by
parentage, Hips are PennHip certified Normal, Hips OFA Good, Elbows OFA
Normal, BAER Hearing Normal, OFA Heart Normal.
